I’m saying good-bye to blogging, at least for a while. I’ve been very lax about blogging and don’t really feel as if I have much to say lately. I’m keeping busy with so many other things, and I feel it is time to let this blog go.
It’s been a two-year journey–blogging and taking a sabbatical from paid work. Now, I am getting ready to return to the work world via temping, and I am very active in some other on-line communities, so it feels as if the blog has served its purpose. I truly appreciate my loyal readers, and I’ll continue to check in on your blogs via Bloglines.
If you’d like to stay connected, here are various ways:
On Ravelry as Jennhx
On Good Reads as Jennhx
And I’m signed up for the rest of the “100 lists of 100 things” swaps at Swap-bot, in addition to maintaining the related blog.
I think that is more than enough on-line presence for one gal. This blog will be going away, but I plan to use Jennhx.com as a site for my photography and editing services, as I slowly develop those.
Thanks and see you ’round!

Little piggy heads back into the barn after a hard day’s work.
Taking one picture each day is pushing me to redefine my photography. Why am I shooting? What am I trying to express?
There is something exhilarating, for me, in capturing my view of life on camera. I have a particular way of viewing light and dark, and I see shadows and reflections all around me. It is something I’ve always done–I remember being a kid and constantly looking at the sky and clouds. I don’t know where all this is leading me, but it is enjoyable and some people seem to like my images.
But if I take a picture of the clothes hanging in my closet, with the light glowing softly on them and a narrow range of focus, is it art? Ken Rockwell says the definition of art is determined by whether you like it.
I kinda like it, although I’d be hard pressed to tell you precisely why.
Here is a funny quiz on “What is Art?”
Seems I need this… I’ve been in dark, wintry, sleepy, depressed hibernation mode lately.
Check out the project blog for more info on this–the goal is to write 100 lists of 100 things.
See the lists of 100 blog I co-host for more details on this project.
YOU are strongly encouraged to write your own gratitude lists, of whatever length, and as frequently as possible. They can change your life. Seriously.
